To tell us more about this summer lineup, we spoke with Bianca Noël, Director of Product Development and Innovation at NOPé. She shares her inspirations, walks us through the design process, and highlights the key features of these new head and neck essentials.

A NATURAL NEXT STEP FOR NOPé

Already well established in the outdoor space during the colder months, NOPé wanted to support its community year-round with accessories designed for warmer weather. Caps quickly became a must-have. The goal: develop unique models that meet NOPé’s three core criteria—breathability, comfort and style.

As an outdoor enthusiast herself, Bianca gathered feedback from her circle, analyzed products currently on the market, and set out to create accessories that stand out through both simplicity and versatility.

“We created prototypes and tested them in real running conditions. For the caps, we minimized pressure points, added elastic adjustments, and designed ergonomic fits suited to different activities. We selected breathable, moisture-resistant fabrics. For the neck gaiter, we focused on developing a seamless design. Once the structure was finalized, we moved on to colour selection,” she explains.

The colour palette reflects the outdoor world while remaining accessible and inclusive. For some models, like the SOMMET cap, colourblocking enhances the sense of movement and intensity.

THREE SUMMER CAPS FOR DIFFERENT USES

Three cap models were developed to suit a range of sports and outdoor activities. Whether for an active outing, a day on the go, or a more demanding adventure, each model is tailored to a specific use. What they all share: lightweight, breathable materials designed for comfort.

ALTITUDE CAP

The ALTITUDE model perfectly embodies the NOPé spirit: clean design made for every adventure, from everyday wear to outdoor escapes.

“The ALTITUDE cap is our most versatile model—anyone can wear it in any situation. It’s casual and minimalist,” says Bianca.

Made from ultra-light, breathable fabric, it offers excellent moisture-wicking performance, even on the most active days. Its nylon and spandex blend provides flexibility and durability while remaining easy to care for. With an adjustable fit, it comes in four solid colours: OLD ROSE, MINT, COBALT and BLACK.

HORIZON CAP

The HORIZON cap takes NOPé’s functional approach even further with its integrated protective panel, designed to provide added coverage on highly exposed days. Combining functional design with lightweight materials and flexible construction, it delivers comfort, stability and extended protection for the neck and ears.

“It’s a truly versatile product. You can wear it as a cap, then add the panel to protect your neck from the elements. It’s especially useful for longer outdoor outings.”

Available in SMOKED VIOLET, GRANITE and LATTE, the HORIZON model adapts to any outing, regardless of pace or conditions. SOMMET CAP

The SOMMET cap reflects NOPé’s dynamic DNA—a model designed to move with you in changing environments. Its modern colourblock design combines lightweight, stretch fabrics to provide comfort, breathability and support in all your activities. It comes in three colour themes: TEAL, PEACH and COBALT.

Bianca explains:

“This model was designed for higher-intensity activities like running. Like the others, it’s lightweight and breathable, with an adjustable fit that accommodates a ponytail.”

THE EQUINOXE NECK GAITER: PRACTICAL AND MULTIFUNCTIONAL

Another standout addition this summer is the EQUINOXE neck gaiter, fully embodying NOPé’s commitment to versatility. Designed for year-round use and adaptable to any pace, this multifunctional piece stands out for its lightweight feel and flexibility.

Made from soft, stretch polyester, it offers excellent breathability and quick-drying performance, ensuring consistent comfort—even during the most active and exposed days.

“It’s incredibly lightweight. It’s not lined, which makes it even more versatile. Its simple design allows it to be worn in multiple ways: as a neck gaiter, headband, balaclava or light protection,” Bianca adds.
