Discovering Quebec's picturesque routes

In our beautiful part of the country, road cycling enthusiasts will easily find scenic routes that will captivate them. Start your adventure on the Chemin du Roy, a historic road that connects Quebec City to Montreal, running along the Saint Lawrence River and passing through charming villages. We recommend the segment between Trois-Rivières and Quebec City, which offers fascinating historical sites and enchanting landscapes.

For a change of scenery, the Route Verte is an ideal choice. This cycling network crosses various regions of Quebec, and the section between Mont-Tremblant and Saint-Jovite is particularly recommended for its spectacular views of the Laurentians.

For those who miss mountain panoramas, the Jacques-Cartier Circuit will take you through mountains and rivers. Between us, the route between Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury and Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier is perfect for nature lovers seeking tranquility.

Technical trails for thrill-seekers

For mountain biking enthusiasts, Quebec is full of technical trails and exciting challenges. Vallée Bras-du-Nord in Saint-Raymond is a must, with trails for all levels and breathtaking forest landscapes. The 22 km Neilson Est trail is highly recommended, but it's crucial to bring enough food, water, and energy for the ride!

Mont-Sainte-Anne is a renowned destination for mountain biking trails. The Mestachibo trail is famous for its technical sections and spectacular alpine panoramas.

The Bromont Trails offer a vast network of well-maintained and varied trails. The C1 trail is a must for thrill-seekers with its fast and technical descents.

Essential gear to protect against wind, sun, and rain

To fully enjoy your cycling outings, it's essential to have the right gear, especially to protect your head and neck. Here are some tips to get you ready:

  • A well-fitted bike helmet is man-da-to-ry for your safety. No excuses here. Opt for a model with good ventilation to avoid overheating while protecting against impacts.
  • A neck warmer can be worn in various ways to protect your neck from wind and sun. It can also serve as a mask on chilly mornings! This is where our bamboo neck warmers come into play. Check out the full collection here.
  • A lightweight headband or a technical fabric beanie can be worn under the helmet to protect your ears and forehead from the cold wind. Our neck warmers pulled up over your ears work great too.
  • Choose sunglasses with interchangeable lenses to protect against UV rays and debris. Clear or lightly tinted lenses are perfect for cloudy days.
  • A lightweight, windproof, and waterproof jacket is essential to protect against spring showers and gusty winds. Opt for a compact model that you can easily store in your jersey pocket.
  • Even on cloudy days, it's important to protect your skin from UV rays. Apply a sweat-resistant sunscreen to your face and neck before heading out.
  • Quebec offers a multitude of options for cyclists of all levels, whether you prefer road biking, mountain biking, or even fat biking in the mud! Spring and summer are the perfect seasons to explore these stunning landscapes and take on new challenges. So, get your bikes ready and embark on an adventure!
